Twizel residents can call 0274 382 777 which will take you through to a service called HML, where a Registered Nurse will answer your call and talk with you in confidence about any health issues you may be worried about. The nurse will ask you some questions then offer you advice and if necessary they will put you straight through to the Twizel Medical Centre practitioner on duty, or speak to them on your behalf.  They can advise you whether you should see someone 'After Hours' or if it can wait until the next day. 

Patients enrolled with the Twizel Medical Centre have access to another phone number that will enable them to call the Twizel Medical Centre staff member who is on-call – you will be able to receive direct advice from someone local. Please be mindful that our on-call people need rest as well, so please use this service for urgent queries only.  This number should not be used for routine matters, such as requesting a repeat prescription which can be done by calling our 'prescription line' (03 435 0777, and pressing option 1), or via the patient portal (ManageMyHealth).
